Unlike Prep Charter, University High School students have been recommended by teachers from their elementary schools.Another difference is that University is in Newark, Prep as we all know is in South Philadelphia. Like Prep they have to pass an assesment test to get in. They also boast,like us about their 85-90% rate of students who go to college, although I think ours is higher. Another thing these schools have in common are their strict ciriculum,and both have college prepatory courses.
ReplyDeleteprep charter is a charter school not a public school like the u.h.s.to get in our school you have to win a lottery but in their school any body can go in.their all the way in nj and we in Philly.they have a 5 story building and we only have 1.they have 32 after school programs we only have about 10.they also have a corny website ours is better.
ReplyDeletePrep charter and University High are alike in many ways. To get into University High and Prep Charter, you have to take some type of assessment test. Most importantly, both schools have college prep classes and are very strict about their curriculum there, as Ivy B. said two comments above.However, the students at University High are often recommended by teachers from their elementary schools.
ReplyDeletePrep Charter and University High are different in some ways because in Prep Charter you have to get picked out of a lottery to get in and at University High you have pass an assessment test. Another difference is University High has a 7th and 8th grade class. In Prep Charter we just have 9th through 12th. But, they are similar by both having after school activities and collage prep classes.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of similarities between University High School and Prep Charter. They both have a good repuataion for the considerable amount of college graduates. They both are facilities that specialize in preparing students for college. especially prep Charter with has a reputatation as a college Prep School. They both have rigorous cirriculum. Both schools also help promote the producing of student careers. University High had weekend programs and summer programs underwritten by oil and chemical companies. They helped produce Engineers, Scientists, and Mathematicians. Prep Charter is too because it is a school that offers programs that helps promote the careers of science and technology because it's the school of science, and technology. Prep charter also helps students get careers by offering internship programs in city goverment, medical and education settings.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple different similarities like how they both have college prep classes. These schools are like what Elijah said "Both schools help promote the producing of student chars." The two schools have very good reputation and has many subjects that are needed for jobs in the future. There are differences in difficulty like how subjects at University High are more advanced. Prep Charter accepts students through lotteries and also through siblings that already go to the school. On the other hand, University High accepts people through standardized test. I agree with Micahel B. saying that University High has more grades like 7th and 8th than Prep Charter.
ReplyDeleteUniversity highschool students are accepted by test taken by the students who apply. Charter schools such as ours Prep Charter are enrolled in a lottery and chosen after applying. Both of the schools prepare their students for college.
ReplyDeleteUniversity High School is very similar, as well as differs, from Prep Charter in several ways. First of all, both Prep Charter and University High School provides a stable and well-built course in Mathematics and Science. Secondly, both schools are similar to the way they're accepted. Both Prep Charter and University High School require possible students to take an assessment before they're accepted. Lastly, the two schools both has an excelling percentage of their graduates entering and graduating from colleges and universities.

Prep Charter's students are selected through a lottery, while University of High School's students are there through recommendation by the elementary school's teacher, guidance counselor, or principal.

Both schools expect you to do more than just your best ad to be all that you can be. Unlike University High, Prep Charter's students were not handpicked by their elementary school teachers to attend Prep Charter. Another difference is that Prep Charter has a lottery in which many students get accepted by luck.
ReplyDeleteTo start, Prep charter and University High both have a high rate of graduates that become successful later on in life. They both have programs that motivate children to become better at what they do, help them want to get to the highest point of success. It helps them prep for test that requires their future. The program also help kids get a look at what the real world is like when it comes to working or careers. At Prep Charter, it’s called career development, and at U.H.S., it’s called internships. At Prep and U.H.S., a placement test that is taken by the children who are accepted.

However to get in Prep Charter you have to enter a lottery. University High School has a solid reputation for sending a high percentage of its gradates to colleges and universities each year.
ReplyDeleteBoth Prep Charter and University High are very successful motivational schools. But, University High is different, because, you need to be recommended by a Faculty member to be accepted. On the other hand, Prep Charter is a lottery based school. But, both share very high student college acceptance rates and student success rates.

Also, Prep Charter is a Charter school and Unversity High is a public school. But both schools however, do a great job in having students prepared and accepted to college.

University High School and Preparatory Charter have many similarities. First, they both have college preparatory courses that you have to take to prepare for college. Secondly, they both have high percentage rates of graduates completing college. Thirdly, they have strict academic curriculums. Last of all, they both have great teachers helping and pushing us towards a brighter future. These are some similarities these two high schools have in common.
ReplyDeleteFor starters, University High, in contrast to Prep Charter had seventh and eight graders in thier school. Next they had to have a recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or principal from which ever elementary school they came from. They also had to pass a admittance test to get the opportunity to attending their school. Plus, University High a foreign languages which was often latin as oppposed to us we study spanish. Lastly, they offered summer and weeekend programs as opposed to us we have no choice or its find another school.In comparison, to Universuty High, we have a high percentage rate of sending our graduates to colleges and universities each year. In addition, we are a college-preparatory high school, devoted to getting our kids in college when they leave.
ReplyDeleteBetween Prep Charter and University High School, there are several apparent similarities. Both schools offer a rigorous curriculum that can compare to no other. Each has a reputation of molding students that will go on and finish high school, and, at least, a two year college/university. Yet, there are some distinct differences between the schools as well. Prep Charter offers an amazing opportunity with its Career Development Internship Program, which enables students to experience perhaps a future dream job at such a young age. University High School, on the other hand, enrolls students beginning in 7th and 8th grade, which prepares them for success at a younger age.
ReplyDeleteTheir are some simularities to University High and Prep Charter. Suhas the way how the school was strong at the devlopment in strong math and science. Also how it had dedicated teachears, just as the one's hear at Prep Charter who push, and motivate us, and try and moled us into great and educated student's. On the other hand, University High doesn't compare to Prep and the way how it doesn't has a strong math and science. It's exspectional in every subject they teach at Prep, adn all of the Prep teacher's are dedicating in our higher learning. That's the comparison of Prep Chater and University High.

ReplyDeleteThe first thing they have in common is that they are preparatory schools providing student with courses needed to prepare them for college. Another similarity is that have firm academic curriculums that requires a lot from students. They also have terrific staff and teachers that influence their students and are driving them in the right path to a successful feature.
The differences between these schools are not much. One way they are different is that Prep Charter is a Charter school and University High is a public school. Next is that student are accepted in Prep Charter through a lottery pick and will later take a placement test while you needed recommendation and to pass a assessment to be accept to University High. The final deference I notice is that University High is a very big because the start from 7th grade to 12th while Prep Charter start from 9th to 12th and is very small.
There are several reasons why University High School in Newark and our Prep Charter are similar. First of all they both have college prep programs and classes. Secondly they both excel in percentage of graduates. Another similarity is that you must take an assessment test before being a part of the schools. However Prep Charter chooses students by lottery snd University High wants recommendations and decent grades form 7th and 8th grade. In my opinion I believe that University High is a way bigger school because they have 7th and 8th grade classes. Prep Charter only has 9th-12th grade classes.

Also, University is very strict about the importances of college and try their hardest to boost their students to the highest level. Prep charter does the same things with the help from many students and faculty. Prep Charter is one of the best schools in the neighborhood. You couldn;t find any school better than this.

One way it is similar is that both schools are the best school within out neighborhood just as Chelsea has said in her response. One way they are different is that University High started a program where it accepts 7th and 8th graders so that they will be more prepared for college. A final way they are different is that most of the teachers of University High couldnt care less with what their students grow up to be, as long as they are taught, unlike University High, Prep Charter teachers care about what their students grow up to be and teach them the meaning of having a dream, and we are also friends with our teachers.

ReplyDeleteUniversity High is not as "modern" as our modern day Prepatory Charter High. Aside from the obvious differences such as University High being a public school and requiring a reccomendation and in contrast Prepatory Charter being a charter school and having a lottery, there are a few other signifignat differences. The most important one to me is that the school was "out researched" which meant that its graduates were unprepared for jobs over menial labor. Prepatory Charter High on the other hand, is well updated on all of its teachings and information to be taught. But they do have one signifigant similarity and that would be that at one point, they were both good schools to attend for college.
ReplyDeletePrep Charter and University High both have a high number of college graduates.Many were recommended by numerous teachers because the teachers believed in the students.Here at prep the college graduate rate is very high just like University High.Also the teachers recommend the students here because they believe in us.They want us to go as far as we can go to be successful.Also University High is a public school which means any person could get in their.Her at prep there is a lottery which means you get in if you get in and you dont if you dont.Lastly prep is very serious about the importance of college and so is University High.
