George, Sam, and Rameck
I think their relationships effected them because they thought the girls they had was the one for them. I dont think they realized they was still young and they have time to find somone. My relationships dont really affect me that much now because I know I'm young and boys is'nt worth the time.
ReplyDeleteRameck and Sam taught they were falling in love with the girls they were going out with. Rameck relationship was that the girl he trusts had a boyfriend how they were going out. Few weeks later they got back together. Then Rameck decided he would just forget about medical school, marry Kay, and start a perfect family. He knew that if he do that he wouldn’t lose Kay again and would have time to spend with her. Sam relationship was okay until she heard rumors that Sam was dating someone else. They broke up. Months later he went looking for her and someone told him his ex was pregnant but he knows it wasn’t his baby. My relationship don’t affect me because am not in no relationship.
ReplyDeleteRameck and Sam were affected because they were distracted in a way. They thought there girlfriends were the one and got attached and in the end it didn't work out for either one of them. Rameck was ready to throw away his education to marry Kay until he found out she had another boyfriend. Sam relationship was okay until rumors were heard and they broke up. When he wanted her back he found out she was pregnant so that didn't work out. My relationships dont affect me that much there nice but I keep my guard up so if something goes wrong i'm not left upset.
ReplyDeleteTheir relationships affected them beacuse the thought that they were in love with their girlfriends. Because they were still young there was alot of insecurities in the relationships. Like how in the book there was rumors giong around and because of them sam and his girlfriend broke up. My relationships affect me because i always have my guard up and silently judgeing the guy im with. I just think that they needed to do more growing up and then jump into a relationship.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Shamira but to an exsint. They were to young to know what love was and what lust was. I think they got caught up in the moment and loved to believe the fact that they were in love. My relationship it dont really affect me because i love him and he loves me and i dont doubt that at all .We've been together for so long like i trust him and thas what you have to have is trust I dont think they trusted their girlfriends because its hard to trust someone whe your constantly hearing rumors.
ReplyDeleteWhen topic of love pops up, the first word people think of is distractions. Rameck had a dream of attending medical school, and becoming a doctor. Rameck thought that he was falling in love with his girlfriend. Rameck had thoughts of just marrying Kay, and starting a family that would be perfect in his eyes. Sam Relationship was going well, but his girlfriend had gotten a big head, because she let so many people fill her head with lies and rumours. It’s always the friend that’s jealous and the jealous friend decides to fill your girlfriend head with bad stuff, then questions start to pop up, and conclusions are starting to get jumped upon.
ReplyDeletethis love thing that they are talking about effects them because they get all light hearted for these girls.they think that these girls will be with them for the rest of their lives..to me it seems like they getsofter and at the same time they get more wisr because they are thinking on what true love is..my relationships effect me because the person that i think loves me is not a person who i have been talikng to for a month.its the person who has been their since way back.it effects me because im constantly on the phone more and basically showing someone an amount of attention that usually doesnt get shown to tohers.
ReplyDeleteThe relationships were good for them but when they broke up. life changed,it made them sad and they had thoughts about dropping out of school. My relationship doesn't really distract me but at sometimes it may distract me depends on the situation

ReplyDeleteI agree with Alexis, when your in a relationship at an young age you don't know what love is. You lust for that person, and that might confuse you with love. As Quran said, "When the topic of love pops up, the first word people think of is distraction." That is absolutely true. Rameck was thinking about his dream of attending med school, and becoming a doctor. He had good intentions with his girlfriend, but his dream wasn't going to allow him to do both. Sam relationship was also going well, but hi girlfriend had insecurities because of her friends telling her rumors that mad her think twice about her relationship. My relationships don't affect me because I haven't found the right person for the relationship to affect me.
ReplyDeleteBoth Rameck and Sam talk about falling in love and also about relationships. As the other students said, they both was too young to know what love really was and what was the difference between love and lust. These relationships also affected their lives because they then started talking about dropping out of school and they was becoming too attached and distracted from their school work. But as for my relationships, I have been in soo many that I can say that I really think that I found the right one now and I am very happy to say that.

I dont think there young love was bad but it did effect them it made them question what they really wanted.I dont think relationships effect me because im not that boy crazy girl, i know that that boys will always be around but your youth wont.
ReplyDeleteBoth Rameck and Sam thought they were falling in love. Once Rameck and his girlfriend were completely broken up, he became lovesick and lost weight, continuously called her, and was about to quit medical school because he was so strung up on this girl. Sam also fell in love. He was too stressed with school so he broke it off. They both rushed into things and automatically thought they were in love. Relationships don't affect me too much. I'm too young to be heartbroken when I know another guy will come around.
ReplyDeleteBoth Sam Rameck were too young to let their relationships affect them. The relationships affected them in major ways like dropping out of school and being lovesick. Rameck kept calling his girlfriend nonstop and Sam was rushing things in his relationship. I don't find relationship affecting me in any way. I would learn to get past it and move along.
ReplyDeleteBoth of their relationships caused quite some trouble for them when their plan was to become a doctor. From the start, they knew that they were going to be extremely busy when they start medical school but they decide go too deep into a relationship which made their minds go crazy between school, life, and their girlfriends. Girlfriends can only have 2 effects on your life, good or bad. In both of their cases, bad because it caused a lot of stress and distraction for them both from their future. My relationship doesn't effect me because I've learned to separate school from love when I am working on my future.
ReplyDeleteBoth Sam and Rameck's experience with love interfered with their plans to become doctors. It caused a distraction when they should have been focusing on their school work. When Sam was trying to go see his ex-girlfriend to get back together he found out that she was pregnant. When Rameck tryed to get back together with his ex-girlfriend he found out that she had moved on and found somebody else. My relationships don't affect me in any kind of way.
ReplyDeleteBoth Sam and Rameck were in relationships for the worst because they both affected them in their personal lives. They were both soo young and they both thought that they found the one until they started interfearing with their work lives. They were in relationships that soon ended then one of them tried to see their ex. and was hurt even more when they found out that she was now with somebody else. I dont let relationships affect me in anyway because I just try and stay away from them until I feel like I am ready for that.

They both thought that the girls they have met would be the "one" for them.It became between them in their goal in becoming doctors. My relationships do not affect me because I try to stay away from them and focus on what is more important.
ReplyDeletethe experience that Rameck and George has experienced about being in love with there girlfriends kinda blinded them from the goal that they were focused on because they felt that the girls they were with seemed to be there perfect match and was very insecure about what to do or how to handle there emotions and school life.no my relationships do not get into the way of my studies because no matter how deep in love you are with someone they should try to keep u back or make u feel insecure about their studies and work or a goal that you are trying to pursue to make it big.
ReplyDeleteSam and Rameck relationship is bad because in the end it didn't go to well due to the fact they lost the one they love. Rameck was affected the most because he has an on and off again girlfriend who then became to not love him anymore. They are not to young for love but they are not so great in making their relationship so great. I have fallen in love before and it affected my focus on things. As years go by I stay concentrated on the future and not worry about relationship.
ReplyDeleteBoth Sam and Rameck's relationships ended off on a bad note. Both of their peronsal lives were affected by their realtionships. Rameck had a girlfriend that he had started to fall for, but when he told her that, she told him that she was falling for another guy that she was dating. Rameck was going to give up his pact with Sam and George to become a teacher and start a family with this girl Kay. After he had found out about her loving someone else he became lovesick. Sam on the other hand after he and his girlfriend broke up, he had found out that she was pregnant. I don't let relationships affect me like that because I'm young and I have a whole life ahead of me than to be worrying about a relationship.
ReplyDeleteThere relationships affect them because they were both in love but they were busy with school. They couldn't really balance both out so they kept getting distracted. I haven't really been in a relationship that had affect me.
ReplyDeleteSam and Rameck relations with their significant others were for not. At a time like this their love seemed perfect in the veiw of their futures compaired to their relationships. But it could be implied that their eyes were bigger than their hearts, because they are to young to really be in love and say a person is the one when a bright future ahead of them because this could mess it all up now. With me evan if there are feelings toward someone now wont affect shool or my life as much as it will in the future, and I belive its like that with most people.

ReplyDeleteI agree with what everyone else is basically saying that they were young and really didn't know what love is but we don't either. And I dont think like I ever experience none of the problems none of these boys had so I dont need no one to love but they went through some hard times and just needed a "honey" to take the pain away. And no not at this time I am not affected.

Completing school is my number one priority.
ReplyDeleteSam and rameck are affected them because they got really hurt by their now ex-girlfriends because they both fell in love when they shouldnt have because they are to young for that and dont know what that means and the consequences of it. My relationships dont affect me really at all because i dont fall in love with them but i make them feel like im there for them all the time and that i love them but as soon as somthing happens im gone and on to the next one. I dont pay no mind to the other person and what they had did because i stay faithful to the person i am in a relationship with, and if they dont want to do the same then they arent the one for me.

ReplyDeleteBoth Rameck And Sam talk about their relationship and how they were in love. Many teenagers at their age do confuse love with lust. It also gets you distracted from your school work depeding on the person you are. Realisticly, Its ok to make mistakes in a relationship. Especially while your young. It helps you get a better understanding of the differences between love and lust. Having a relationship doesnt affect me in any way. If things arent going to well then maybe it wasnt meant to be or just not the right time.

Rameck girlfriend left him for someone else and Sam and his broke up because of gossip. A relationship really doesn't get that personal to me so I doubt i would be effected at all.

Rameck was convinced he was so in love that he was ready to throw away his education and everything he worked for to marry Kay so that she wont leave him for her other boyfriend. Sam had an okay relationship until his girlfriend showed her true colors and her insecurities. I'm not going to lie, my relationships do effect me. They can be distracting at times. But, for the most part I dont let them get in the way of my responsibilities.
ReplyDeleteRameck thought that Kay was the "one." Apparently she wasn't when he found out she was cheating on him. This broke his heart for months, but he couldn't let it go. So he kept on chasing after her trying to win her back. Eventually, she got sick of him and told him she wanted nothing to do with him and he stopped. He had planned out his whole future with her being a part of it and that all crashed to the ground. But, then he remember about the pact he made with Sam and George and he couldn't give it all up that easy. My relationships sometimes affect me in school, especially when you're trying to consintrate on one thing, but you just can't seem to get him out of your mind. Yeah, that's how it is mostly everyday at Prep Charter with me. But, in the long run, school is the most important as of right now.

Sam's relationship with the girl he met on Livingston campus was going good until he broke up with her because his Medical school was stressing him out. The rumers went around campus that his girlfriend was pregnant after breaking up with him. Relationship doesn't afftect me, it actually boost me up in my activities and studies.

Going to medical school is hard already, added with the stressfulness of being in a relationship created even more stress for Rameck and Sam, both emotionally and physically. For myself, I know when it is time for school and when it is time for a relationship. I try to separate these two ,thus creating less stress for myself.

Their relationship also distracted them for their schoolwork. Rameck couldn’t let go of Kay. He was even ready to throw away his education to be with her. ReplyDeleteRameck had fallen hard for this girl name Kay dat was pretty and someonee that he hope for to be his potential wife and share his future with. When they brock it off it effected him in the worse way possible, it made him want to give up his dream's of becoming a Doctor, just so he could sayy with Kay. Personally, relationships drain me physically and mentally,it alot of stress to deal with on top of school. While in class you may want to pay attention to the Teacher but your head goes some where else on something about your relationship, and just made you miss some valuable information in class.

Rameck almost lost his education because of Kay, he almost settled for a different life. Sam heard stuff about his girlfriend, that she was cheating so he left her. He was so infatuated with her, that he thought he could just drop out of school and start a family with her. When Kay broke Rameck's heart, it affected him deeply and he lost interest in medical school. Sam's relationship affected him, because he heard rumors about his girlfriend cheating on him. Since he was young and stupid, he believed it and ended that relationship. I don't really let my relationships affect me because I believe that everything happens for a reason and when something happens you can't change it. It goes into the past and I move on. There is no need to dwell on memories.

He heard rumors about his girlfriend cheating on him, so being naive he broke up with her. Relationships do affect a person, but you have to be mature enough to know, when to let it affect you. I also think no matter how young someone is they honestly know, when their in love, even though people say their too young to be in love. Also love conquers all, and if its meant to be, it will.

I agree with Bria J. when she said that Rameck's situtation affected his thinking. He was thinking about just breaking the pact he had with George and Sam. With Sam's situation he was intensively getting caught up with Med School and his relationship. But when he finally relized how much he missed her she had been pregnant. My relationships doesn't affect me because I'll choose books over boys anyday.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone had previously stated, Rameck and Sam were caught up. They thought that the girls that they were in a relationship with were the ones. Rameck was going to get married and leave his education to start a family, until he had found out that there was a boyfreind number two. Sam also was caught up with his girlfreind, until he had heard rumors about his girlfreind. I am really not affected by the relationships I am/have been in. I don't get so caught up in it that I would be willing to give up everything to be with that person.

ReplyDeleteSam and Rameck let their girl friends distract them they started getting a bit attached to them and were lured away from their priorities. I can see why they would be distracted but I think they had way to much going for them to incorporate another distraction to their goal, I also think that they're very young so being as committed as they were was unnecessary. I don't think there's anything wrong with them talking to girls but i do think it is wrong when they get attached at this part of their lives and start making girls a primary focus other than the task at hand. (Plus there in college they should have just talked around instead of talking to one girl lol).
ReplyDeleteSam and Rameck both had some very signifigant relationships that alomst caused a lot of negative things to happen. They both had let a girl throw them off track and almost completely side track their goals. There was however a difference between the two. Although Rameck had lost Kay due to another man. Sam had dumped his girl because of rumors. For Ramecks' situation, he was ready to give up everything for a girl. It makes you think, what if she didn't cheat? What if he would of given up his dream? I'm sure it would of greatly affected the Sam and George. Now Sam, in contrast believed the rumors he was hearing which personally I believe was a bad idea on his part. Anyway when he relized how much he "loved" her, it was too late. Both of these situations resulted in the same problem. The problem was that they were being distracted from their goals by their relationships. The definition of love to me varies. To me, love is measured in tolerence. I would say my relationships don't affect me. I've come to terms with they saying "stuff happens" along time ago. That's why they don't affect me.

Rameck wanted to marry Kay, his on-and-off girlfriend; until he found out she had moved on and ended up with another guy. Sam’s relationship was doing very well, but when people starts spreading rumors that he was cheating on her, he ended the relationship. When he decided that he needed her in his life and wants her back, he found out that she was already 4 months pregnant. My relationships do not affect me because I’m not in one.

They were so attached that Rameck was inteding to marry Kay and forget about his goal. Sam's situation wasn't as bad but he was still being pulled away from his goal
ReplyDeleteRameck’s relationship distressed him immensely. He had many sleepless nights during his final breakup with Kay. He stopped eating and lost weight as a result. Rameck called Kay many times a day attempting to change her mind. He even contemplated breaking the pact and leaving medical school to become a teacher, in order to marry and start a family with Kay.
ReplyDeleteAt first, their relationships went well and they thought it would stay smoothly. But soon after, they realized that they couldn't handle the pressure of their schoolwork tied in with them falling in love. This affected them dramatically so in the end, they chose to stop falling in love and focus on schoolwork because they knew that they're still in college and they could find another partner after they are finished their serious work. My relationships don't really affect me because I'm not in a relationship so I don't have to go through all that drama and focus on school; school is the most important thing to me now. If I was in a relationship, then school would be really tough because you have to balance out time with your partner and with yourself.

ReplyDeleteSam and Rameck was negatively affected by their realationships.For example Rameck was seriously hurt when his girlfriend broke up with him, he let it make him become seriously depress which cause him to be lovesick and was almost about to drop out of Medical School at Seton Hall. But I think that Sam and Rameck was to young to be in realationship and to young to be hurt broken by love.

Relationships really dont affect me because I know when its not the right time and when it is the right time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jahlill they were badly affected. Rameck thought he was so in love that he was willing to do anything when his girlfriend broke up with him. He was going to drop out of school just because he wanted to be with a girl who didnt want to be with him. Another bad affect of him being in love was that he was became love sick he was depressed and even losing weight. Being in love while they were in school just wasnt something good for them. They should have waited until it was the right time and they could balance life and love.
ReplyDeleteWhen Sam and Rameck was in love it wasnt the best thing for them at the time. They weren't able to happen the heart break thats comes along with being in love. Rameck was becoming love sick he was losing weight and he became very depressed. My relationship doesn't affect me in a bad way. Yes we have our ups and downs but its not to a point where it badly affects other things in my life.
